Set of four vintage Italian chrome dining chairs dating to the 1970s.
These appear to be Loewenstein / OGGO chairs and closely match documented examples attributed to Loewenstein, though no Loewenstein maker’s label is present on the chairs themselves. Each chair retains a “Made in Italy” label as well as an original COSMOS upholstery tag.
The chairs feature a sculptural tubular nickel/chrome sled-style frame, upholstered seat and back, and integrated handle opening at the top of the backrest. They are stackable and have a clean late-1970s modern / postmodern look that works well with MCM, Italian modern, and contemporary interiors.
These came from a matching set purchased new around 1978 and were reportedly custom upholstered to coordinate with other furnishings in the original owner’s home. They have seen very little use and are in notably good condition for their age.
