A charming small copy of Sir Edwin Landseer's beloved 1845 composition "The Cavalier's Pets," depicting two King Charles Spaniels resting on a red cushion beside their master's hat — one of the most admired and widely reproduced animal paintings of the Victorian era, the original now held in the Tate collection, London.
This hand-painted copy captures Landseer's characteristic warmth and sensitivity in the dogs' expressions, presented in a period burl wood frame. Wear and craquelure consistent with age, but does not affect the beautiful reproduction. See photos for condition detail.
