A bank of drawers on the left is faced in overlapping angled slats, each one stepping forward from the one below so the surface breaks into a rhythm of shadow lines rather than reading as flat walnut. The right side of the case is left plain by contrast, closed behind cabinet doors that continue the grain across the front. Underneath, tapered legs capped in brass rise to a sculpted base rail banded in brass, giving the long case a light footing.

The split layout is what makes the dresser practical at this length. The louvered drawers on the left take folded clothing in deep, full width pulls, while the cabinet doors on the right open onto three additional drawers with pale painted fronts and scooped finger pulls, plus open shelf space above them. That gives you visible storage on one side and concealed storage on the other, and the painted interior drawers keep smaller items separated without adding hardware to the outside of the case. Marked.
