Important Vintage Unilux Lamp – Mazda Design
Lamp base from the French company Unilux, founded in 1956 and renowned for its robust and elegant desk and table lamps, characteristic of French design from the 1950s and 60s. The tapered, turned wooden stem, tapering from base to top, is adorned with gilt brass rings at the base junction and at the top of the stem, below the lampshade attachment. Original pull-chain switch (in working order).
Lampshade: near-new, flared truncated cone shape in natural linen/cotton.
Height of base: 55 cm with socket
Height with lampshade: 76 cm
Diameter of lampshade: 45 cm
In good condition, with minimal signs of wear and age. No major defects to report. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
