Teak coffee table. Scandinavian production, 1960s.
Coffee table produced in Scandinavia in the 1960s. The top is enclosed within a thin perimeter frame that holds its surface like a shallow tray. The slightly raised edge seamlessly follows the perimeter and connects seamlessly to the corners, defining a clean yet unrestrained silhouette. Below the top, the band is set back from the perimeter edge, leaving the square legs fully visible, seamlessly inserted into the frame. The entire construction eschews any superfluous elements: the precision of the joints, the continuity of the surfaces, and the calibrated design of the thicknesses entrust the table's character exclusively to the quality of the teak workmanship.
