Striking vintage 1972 oil painting on canvas, signed “Evans ’72” at lower right. A bold, graphic tree silhouette is set against bands of saturated yellow, orange, cobalt blue and turquoise, creating a dramatic sunset-like composition with unmistakable 1970s character.
The simplified forms, strong color blocking and expressive palette give the work a distinctly Mid-Century Modern feel with elements of abstraction and modernist landscape painting. The canvas wraps around the edges for a clean, frameless presentation and can be displayed as is or paired with a floating frame for a more finished look.
