Striking vintage Chinese porcelain vase featuring a tall, architectural square-form silhouette with softly beveled corners and an exceptional allover hand-painted-style Asian landscape. The four sides are richly decorated with colorful peonies, chrysanthemums, flowering branches, birds, foliage, and traditional Chinese calligraphic inscriptions, accented by red artist/seal marks.
The decoration has wonderful depth and movement, with each side offering a different scene. The crisp white porcelain ground beautifully contrasts with the saturated florals, birds, and botanical imagery, making this a particularly eye-catching decorative accent whether displayed empty or filled with branches or flowers.
The underside bears a red square seal mark. Maker/artist attribution is not confirmed.
