Fabulous authentic mid-century vintage 5 panel carved wood room divider.
Carved and hand painted (can even see the brush strokes!) in beautiful and vibrant tropical shades of blue, green, and pink, with pierced high relief carvings of flamingos, hibiscus flowers, palm leaves and more. Each individual element, including every flower, leaf, and bird is carved. Many hours and a lot of care was poured into this one of a kind piece.
Simply stunning. Came from an estate where it lived for its entire 60+ years. Classic 1950s Palm Beach style.
Hinges and paint are original. Has not been altered or updated, as original as the day it was finished. Stands solid and level, structurally sound, panels fold smoothly.

- *This room divider is nearly three quarters of a century old and is in amazing shape for its age but … more*This room divider is nearly three quarters of a century old and is in amazing shape for its age but it is not brand new. Paint is still vibrant, the pierced wood carvings are still crisp, and the wood is still solid. The only noticeable wear is the slight water marks near the bottom of one or two of the legs on the back side (see photos). We have not attempted to clean it, so it's possible that it could be fixed with a $10 water ring remover product, or perhaps a light sanding and repainting of the back side is in its future. less
