The composition layers torch-cut steel leaves in a deep blackened patina against polished brass foliage, hand-formed copper pods with a beautiful flame-patinated finish in rose, amber, and gold, and enameled white blossoms with delicate wire stamens. Slender wire stems arc and curl beyond the arrangement, giving the whole piece an airy, gestural quality that reads more like a still-life bouquet than a flat wall hanging. This is one of the more ambitious silhouettes from the period, with real depth, so it throws lovely shadows and shifts as you move past it. Excellent over a sofa, console, bed, or mantel. See less
