The frame rests on carved walnut cabriole legs with a shell-and-scroll carved apron across the front, and the arm panels are pierced with a shaped cutout on each side — an unusual detail that gives the silhouette real presence from every angle. Upholstered in wide-wale olive corduroy with rope self-welt trim following every seam, and a button-tufted back radiating from a single center point. Built over 8-way hand-tied springs, this chair was made to last generations.
