Impressive vintage china and display cabinet by Karges Furniture, crafted in walnut in the French Louis XV style. The cabinet is marked as shown in the photos.
The cabinet features an elaborately carved crest, graceful French-inspired lines, glass-front display doors, and a substantial lower cabinet providing additional concealed storage. The warm walnut finish and finely executed carved details reflect the quality and craftsmanship of Karges Furniture of Evansville, Indiana.
This cabinet was part of a complete Karges dining suite and was well cared for in a private home. The listing photographs show the actual cabinet in the dining room before it was wrapped and placed in storage.
The cabinet is constructed in two separate sections, with the upper display cabinet lifting from the lower base for transport.
A coordinating set of ten Karges dining chairs — eight side chairs and two armchairs — and a dining table from the same dining suite are available separately.
