Set of 12 vintage French majolica oyster plates, marked Longchamp France on the reverse. Each plate features a molded shell and basketweave design with six scalloped wells and a central round well, finished in the classic Longchamp glaze palette of cream and green/brown.
Likely produced mid-20th century, circa 1950s to 1970s, during the era Longchamp was best known for its oyster and shellfish serve ware.
All 12 plates are hand crafted and are marked with the same Longchamp stamp, making this a complete matched set, which is harder to find than assembling singles. Please note due to the craft of these plates, some may vary in coloring.
Measures approximately 1 inch tall X 9.75 inches in diameter each. Would make a striking table setting for entertaining or a wall display grouping.
