Spectacular 34” Antique Victorian Silver-Plated Banquet Oil Lamp – Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. (Sheffield) with Cranberry Glass Shade

Monumental, museum-quality premium Victorian silver-plated full sized exhibition or banquet-scale oil lamp.
Features an elegant, fluted classical column base crafted by the renowned Sheffield silversmiths Hawksworth, Eyre & Co.

The rim of the base proudly bears their stamped pseudo-hallmarks (HE & Co) alongside an internal factory "T" code.

Crucially, the original circular factory plug mark remains entirely intact on the rim, proving this lamp has never been drilled or converted to electricity—a rare find for collectors.

The lamp is equipped with its authentic English Duplex twin-wick burner system, with both winder knobs clearly stamped "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "DUPLEX".

Resting atop the burner is a beautiful, heavy cut-crystal font featuring deep thumbprint cuts and vertical fluting that mirrors the silver base.

The piece is crowned by its magnificent, period-correct cranberry glass shade. The shade boasts an exquisite acid-etched floral and vine motif with a hand-ruffled, frilled rim.

Excellent used antique condition. Silver base has minor, honest polishing wear along the very lower rim near the green felt, revealing a hint of the underlying base metal. No major dents or deep gouges. Glass Font & Chimney are crystal clear and structurally sound. No cracks or fractures around the metal collar joints. Cranberry Shade is in excellent condition. The acid etching is sharp and vibrant. The ruffled edges are free of major chips or sharp flea bites. The Duplex twin-wick gears turn smoothly. Includes an older cotton wick still inside the reservoir. See less
