Scenes include people gathered under a fruiting tree, animals, birds, and other figures—set against an intricate ground of scrolling floral and geometric motifs. The foot carries a fine herringbone or basket-weave band that is typical of the period.

Pieces like this were produced in Iran during the Qajar dynasty (1789–1925).
