Fantastic vintage condition. There are 2 in the set -- a beautiful, matching vintage pair of Syroco Wood character figurines from the 1940s.

This classic American folk-art set includes the Nautical Sea Captain/Sailor man and his companion Wife figure. Manufactured by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) in Syracuse, New York, these pieces were created using their iconic proprietary compression-molded wood-pulp process to perfectly mimic hand-chiseled flat-plane wood carvings.

Both figurines are in great vintage shape with nice color. Please note that the figurine bases features a notable horizontal age split/crack running across the bottom (as shown in the close-up photo). It appears to follow the original molded factory seam line. The piece remains structurally solid, holds its weight perfectly, and the split is completely hidden from view when the figurine is standing upright on display."

These pieces are still structurally stable and displays beautifully. Great gift for the nautical style collector.
