Important Bust signed Terracotta Sculptor Angevin Leon Morice (1868 - 1930), bearing the mark of its manufacturer ''R. Arly'' in Paris, representing a fisherman holding the bar.
The topic is dressed in a jacket and a rain hat, and seems ready to face the elements.
The expression on his face, weathered, reflects a lifetime of hard work on the Atlantic waves.
His eyes, his brow furrowed and the folds of his mouth let us imagine a fierce determination and a strong character.
The weight of his task is hinted at by its curved shoulders, but is offset by the strength of his grip and the impression of strength that emerges.
The Ocean Fury is imaged at the base of the object by curves recalling the waves.
The Work is a fine tribute to the sailors and their courage in facing the dangers of the Sea.
