This MCM 1960 sofa chaise is very well built. My brothers and I grew up with this sofa in the 60s and 70s in New York. It was one of my parents' pieces of furniture. It no longer has the original upholstered fabric. A few years back, our older brother had it reupholstered in a luxuriously soft black chenille and a burnt orange/tan/brown paisley cotton fabric, still keeping its MCM style integrity.
The seat is very firm, and maybe not a completely comfortable chaise for some, but it has always been an attention getter
The paisley fabric, on the sofa itself, is beautifully pleated.
The multi-shaped legs are made out of wood and painted in a light tannish tone.
No need to place it against a wall since it is expertly finished in the back on both sides
It measures 75" wide x 31 1/2" deep x 28" high.
There are no stains, rips or tears. it is in wonderful condition.
A versatile and an exceptionally eye catching chaise
