I am rather old fashioned and do not understand technical details; but the photo is actually the white background,. on the back of heavy quarter inch clear plastic. It isdrilled at four corners for mounting. It is very large, 4x 3 feet. . It is like looking out a window in your wall at Highlands Hammock. or like looking through a magic mirror into the past. I would consider this a 2025 Version of a Highwayman painting.
Highlands Hammock is a Love Story from the 1920s and into the Great Depression. The park was bought by Margaret Roebling, wife of John Roebling, whose family made the wire cable for the Brooklyn Bridge and every Otis Elevator in the world. Margaret was flying with her son in a plane he bought from George Sebring in the 1920s. They flew low over a green area of Virgin forest, in Highlands County, West of Sebring. Margaret later learned some citizens of Sebring were trying to preserve the area, called Hooker's hammockk' so she bought it and gave it to the town. After Margaret's early death, it was used as a CCC training camp. John Roebling saw it as a memorial to Margaret, and his Engineer oversaw the the fine stone buildings, bridges and other projects. . Everything that could be done by machine was done by hand to keep the men wotking during the depression. It became the first State Park in Florida.
