1951 Aluminia (Royal Copenhagen) Large Faience Baluster Vase – Model 3075 / 1152

Made in Denmark. 

Approx. 14 1/2" High x 10 1/2" Diameter at Widest Point, 6 lb 4 oz. 

Exceptionally rare, monumental statement floor vase produced by the historic Danish pottery house Aluminia during the golden era of mid-century Scandinavian design.

The vase features a beautifully proportioned classic baluster silhouette.

The body is decorated with an elegant, hand-painted Danish interpretation of Chinoiserie artwork.

The focal point depicts a peaceful pair of waterfowl resting beneath a scalloped ceremonial pavilion canvas, flanked by large, stylized banana palm leaves.

The base is anchored by a repeating stylized wave and lotus border, mimicking traditional East Asian trade porcelain.

Because each of these historic faience pieces was decorated entirely by hand, no two examples are completely identical, making this a unique work of mid-century ceramic art.

The underside of the base features full, crisp factory markings confirming its authenticity:

* The Aluminia Trademark: The large painted blue letter "A" intersected by three wavy lines (representing the three waterways of Denmark).

* The Date Code: The stamped green "COPENHAGEN DENMARK" mark features a distinct factory-placed line directly underneath the letter "M", precisely dating the production of this vessel to 1951.

* Model Codes: Inscribed fraction numbers 3075 / 1152 denoting the shape and decoration catalogue records.

* Artist Monogram: Hand-signed blue cursive initials belonging to the specific factory painter.

Excellent vintage pristine collector quality. This piece has been exceptionally well preserved. There are absolutely no chips, fleabites, hairline fractures, cracks, structural damage, or signs of past professional restoration. The interior remains perfectly clean, and the exterior cobalt glaze retains its original bright, glossy luster. See less
