This gorgeous piece comes to us from preeminent lubester manufacturer S. F. Bowser. Formed in 1885 by Sylvanus Freelove Bowser, this company literally put their name on the map as "bowser" became a general term for any sort of fuel or oil dispenser, a term that is still used today in New Zealand and Australia.
This particular piece features a tongue-and-groove oak box that houses the internal workings and cast metal/brass hardware. Also present is the original brass factory tag, complete with pump number.
