An elegant vintage barrel-back armchair combining sculptural carved wood with intricate woven cane.
The gracefully curved frame wraps continuously around the back and arms, creating a classic tub-chair silhouette. Geometric woven cane panels provide beautiful texture and visual lightness, while fluted and turned front legs and carved circular rosettes add refined traditional detailing.
The wood retains a warm antiqued finish with subtle speckling and patina that complements the chair’s vintage character. A removable upholstered cushion in a muted peach/blush textured fabric provides a soft contrast to the richly toned frame.
The upholstery retains a Beachler’s – Drexel Heritage Gallery, Hagerstown, Indiana label, documenting its association with the Drexel Heritage Gallery retailer. No separate manufacturer’s mark has been identified.
A particularly versatile statement chair suited to French Regency, Hollywood Regency, traditional, Grandmillennial or collected eclectic interiors. Beautiful as an occasional chair in a living room, bedroom, library, dressing room or entry.
