A brutalist coffee table by Percival Lafer. Tessellated teak, jacaranda, and rosewood pieces of different lengths and heights are arranged along the length of the table and down folding waterfall sides.
Born in 1936, Percival Lafer graduated with a degree in Architecture from Universidade Mackenzie in São Paulo. Ironically, Lafer never intended to be a furniture designer. Upon graduating college, his father passed away suddenly leaving his furniture company Lafer to him and his brothers. Although his passion was architecture, he transitioned into furniture design to ensure steady designs for the company.
