The runner features a richly saturated navy blue field adorned with an allover Herati (Mahi) pattern, a timeless motif symbolizing harmony and continuity. Three small medallions subtly anchor the composition, creating rhythm and visual movement along the length of the rug. Brilliant accents of French blue, brown, red, and yellow animate the design, offering a luminous contrast against the deep navy ground. One of the most distinctive elements is the elegant use of French blue in the corner spandrels at each end — a rare and beautiful village detail that enhances the runner’s uniqueness. The ivory main border frames the composition with balance and refinement, while a classic triple-border configuration echoes the field’s color palette for cohesion and sophistication. Hand-knotted in wool and naturally dyed, this Malayer runner possesses the supple handle, nuanced abrash, and graceful patina.
