This is a beautiful and elegant vintage Chinese miniature display stand, traditionally used in a scholar's study to elevate and showcase small antiques, vases, incense burners, or tea ware.
Material: The frame is crafted from a smooth, polished dark hardwood (resembling rosewood or ebony), featuring clean, straight lines and a Ming-dynasty minimalist aesthetic. The stand rests on four sturdy, straight legs with a classic open "waist" construction.
The Inset Panel: The stunning centerpiece of the stand is the rectangular inset top. It is made of highly figured golden camphor wood (Huangjinzhang) or burl wood. The wood displays a breathtaking, swirling grain pattern that catches the light with a golden, tiger-stripe or water-wave shimmer, making each angle look slightly different.
This piece is incredibly versatile. It is the perfect size (measuring approximately 13.4 inches long) to elevate a cherished object on a mantelpiece, a bookshelf, or an entryway console table.
