The frame is minimal — no visible apron, no ornament except for a deliberate crease against the back, so the interest comes from the proportion and the silhouette: a gently curved back that rakes slightly, a generous squared seat, and four legs that narrow to a fine point at the floor. Upholstered in a woven geometric in taupe and warm brown, with a small-scale repeating diamond that reads as a soft texture from across a room and resolves into pattern up close. The neutral palette and unadorned lines make them easy to place in a modern or transitional dining room, and the scale suits a smaller table or a set of desk and occasional chairs.

B&B Italia was founded in 1966 in Novedrate, in the Brianza furniture district north of Milan, by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli. The company built its reputation on pioneering cold-foam molding for furniture, a technique that let designers work in continuous sculptural shapes rather than assembled frames, and on a long history of collaboration with major architects and designers — Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Mario Bellini, Gaetano Pesce, Antonio Citterio, Patricia Urquiola among them.
