Handsome set of four Dutch Chippendale-style dining side chairs featuring richly carved fruitwood-tone frames, tobacco-brown leather upholstery, and traditional brass nailhead trim.
Each chair features an elaborate pierced and carved back splat with scrolling foliate and architectural detailing beneath a shaped crest rail. The substantial frames are supported by dramatically carved cabriole-style front legs terminating in stylized paw feet, joined by gracefully shaped stretchers.
The generously padded seats are upholstered in warm tobacco-brown leather and finished with individual brass nailheads, providing a handsome contrast to the richly figured wood frames.
The set has wonderful Old World character and substantial visual presence, making it especially well suited to a traditional dining room, library, study, English-inspired interior, or collected eclectic space.
