Vintage pair of French Louis XVI style marble-top nightstands , semainiers, chiffoniers or bedside tables.
They feature a neoclassical Louis XVI style design, highlighted by straight architectural lines, fluted corner stiles, and turned, tapering feet with brass ormolu Constructed using fine walnut and topped with fitted pieces of variegated natural marble.
Outfitted with gilt- brass mounts, including decorative corner escutcheons, ring drawer pulls, and protective sabots on the feet.
Featuring a narrow, vertical four-drawer configuration, these pieces provide efficient bedside storage without taking up significant floor space.
They were painted with a costumed mix green color, heavily distressed and finished with clear wax.
*** please note the marble top is original to the piece and one of them ( The nightstand featured on the left) got cracked and was glued together by its previous owner. ( it doesn't affect it's beauty or function ,and can be easily replaced for another piece of marble or wood, please see the last pictures for reference)***
