Vintage PTMC Recency-style writing desk featuring a warm brown fi ish and an unusual carved X-form trestle base with twisted and foliate detailing. Two generous drawers are accented with handsome brass-tone lion-head ring pulls. The substantial rectangular top has decorative tooled-style detailing around the perimeter, giving the desk the look of a classic leather-top writing desk.
The sculptural base makes this a particularly striking piece from all sides, allowing it to work beautifully as a freestanding writing desk, library table, or statement desk in a home office.
PTMC maker's label is present on underside. Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, including surface wear and some finish loss/chipping at the bottom of one foot, as shown in the photographs. Drawers are clean and functional.
