This piece is an antique bird eye maple writing table or vanity desk likely dating back to the late Victorian or Queen Anne revival error eighteen nineties to 1930s the distinctive speckled pattern across the top and dwarf front is a Birdseye maple veneer. This Price wood grain occurs naturally and sugar maples and has historically been used for high-end furniture. It has slender graceful curved legs known as Cabriole legs dates back to Queen Anne or Louis XV influences
