Pair of signed figurative bookends by Uruguayan artist and architect Eduardo Strauch, dated 1994. Each sculptural bookend depicts a reclining nude female figure rendered with exaggerated volume, simplified features, and an emphasis on mass and form.
The dark stone-like finish and compact architectural silhouettes give the figures a modernist presence while allowing them to function as practical bookends. Display as a pair with books or independently as small-scale figurative sculptures.
Each piece is signed and dated “94.” Approximately 5" H × 8.25" W × 4.5" D.
