Large blue and white porcelain tulipière featuring a dramatic multi-spout form and cobalt dragon decoration. Standing approximately 15 inches tall, the vase has a substantial rounded body surmounted by multiple tubular flower spouts arranged around a raised central opening. The exterior is decorated in cobalt blue with a sinuous dragon, cloud motifs, floral and foliate elements, and repeating geometric borders against a white ground.
The unusual architectural silhouette combines the traditional tulipière flower-vase form with Chinese-inspired blue and white decoration. Substantial in scale and visually graphic, it displays equally well as a sculptural vessel or arranged with individual flower stems.
