Elegant art deco desk lamp crafted in chrome-plated metal; it features a weighted rectangular base, a fixed vertical column, and a sliding horizontal arm fitted with an adjustable faceted reflector. This model, named dactyl, was originally developed to illuminate typewriters and accounting machines; its ingenious mechanism allows the arm to retract into the column while offering exceptional flexibility of use. A remarkable example of innovative french industrial design combining functionality with timeless art deco aesthetics, designed by jean chavanis in the 1940s.
