Coming from a family of designers, art and interior design were always part of our surroundings, and this sectional was at the center of a distinctive 1970s living room.

Made in Italy circa 1978, the 9-piece modular sofa reflects the bold, sculptural approach to furniture design of the period, with a low profile, curved configuration and a design inspired by the iconic De Sede DS-600 Snake style.It is foam-based and was reupholstered in genuine caramel-colored leather in the 1990s. Unfortunately, the maker’s label was lost during the reupholstery process, but this is attributed to B&B Italia.

After being part of our family home for nearly five decades, I would love to see this sofa find its next home with someone who appreciates and values authentic 1970s design, not simply as a piece of furniture, but as a design statement.

The standard sections measure approximately 32"W × 27"D × 26"H, with the two larger end sections measuring approximately 42"W. The back height is approximately 26" measured vertically. Because of its modular construction, the nine sections can be arranged in a large semicircular configuration or adapted to different spaces and layouts.

The sofa is in good vintage condition, with age-appropriate wear consistent with its history and use. The leather retains its warm caramel tone and character.
One end section needs some stitching and minor repairs; the rest of the sections are in excellent condition. See less
