Bring authentic French bistro charm to the table with this delightful set of six vintage “Fromages de France” cheese plates by Faïence de St. Amand, France. Each ivory-white ceramic plate features a different colorful French cheese-label illustration, celebrating classic regional cheeses including Pont l’Évêque, Saint Albray, Reparsac, Camembert, Roquefort, and Bleu d’Auvergne.
The plates have gently scalloped, textured rims and crisp graphic transferware-style decoration in rich blue, green, red, ochre, and black. Their whimsical French dairy imagery makes them equally appealing for serving cheese, desserts, and small bites—or for display as charming French country kitchen wall décor.
The undersides bear the “Fromages de France / Faïence de St. Amand / France” maker’s mark. Saint-Amand is a historic French faïence producer associated with finely made ceramic tableware; comparable sets are identified as six individual cheese-themed designs.
A wonderful addition to a French country dining room, collected kitchenware display, wine-and-cheese entertaining setup, or European cottage-style home.
