The seatbacks connect to the frames with hidden hardware rather than external screws, a technique that gives the chair a clean, streamlined look. Similarly, the seats float above the frame, resting atop a hidden stretcher bar in back and raised knees in front. With bowtie stretcher bars in front and back and softly rounded legs, the chairs have not a sharp edge in sight.

The seats were redone with 1.5" of high density foam — a half inch more than was convention for chairs of the era — for maximal comfort.

The frames have been lightly sanded and relacquered, restoring color and chatoyance to the wood. The set is in excellent restored condition. See less
