It is in wonderful condition. Circa 1970's. This saddle has had one owner since purchase. The wool flocking is smooth without lumping, no shifting. The leather is that wonderful top quality made from hides of mature cows. Why does this matter? Because the fiber structure of a mature hide provides superior strength, more durable and more resistant to break down. This is why you still see wonderful vintage, perfectly great Stubbens still in use today. Stubbens are handmade in Germany. This style saddle has tried and true through the years. And why not? Based on historical popularity, longevity, and widespread use across the globe, the Stübben Siegfried is widely considered one of the highest-selling and most iconic English saddles ever produced.
It is a "True Classic".
A lovely example of tradition.
