An exquisite original early 20th-century etching by celebrated German artist Willi Geiger (1878–1971). This detailed piece depicts picturesque half-timbered historic buildings lining a serene European canal with reflections in the water.
This impression features the official blind-stamp in the lower left margin: "HEINR. WETTEROTH MÜNCHEN GEDR.", identifying it as printed by the legendary Munich master press of Heinrich Wetteroth. It is hand-signed in pencil by artist Willi Geiger on the lower right margin, with handwritten printer attribution in pencil on the left.
Beautifully framed in a classic gold-gilded molded wood frame with double matting.
