Antique Victorian Botanical/Floral Prints In Gilt Frames (Set Of Two Plates in a Single Vertical Frame).
A set of two prints in a bright gold gilt frame with matching mattes. These are hand colored prints of flowers by Frederick Edwards Hulme, circa 1900, squire in France. Both are printed on a natural paper, protected behind glass in a curved corner solid wood frame. These are in beautiful condition.
F. Edward Hulme's Familiar Wild Flowers was originally published in nine volumes by Cassell and Company. The very first edition series was printed between 1877 and 1885. Subsequent printings and collected series continued to be issued by Cassell into the early 1900s, concluding in 1909
The books were printed and sold in London / Paris, and New York. These were acquired in France.
