It is finished with William Morris's Pimpernel pattern, a botanical design of large leaves, small primrose-type flowers, and layered foliage from 1876 for Morris & Co. William Morris (1834 to 1896) was an English textile and wallpaper designer and the founder of Morris & Co. The pattern covers an elongated oval (torpedo) body that is finished with a resin pour, on a round stepped base with a glossy finish. The style is Art Nouveau and Victorian, and this statement piece suits English traditional and traditional interiors. The lamp measures 21 inches high by 5 inches wide, socket to base. It is in fully working condition. It is sold as a lamp base only, with the harp fitting, and no shade is included. Use it on a console, a nightstand, a desk, a library table, an entry table, or in a sunroomVibrant lamp with iconic William Morris art nouveaux pattern, as stated in title, finished with a poured gloss resin See less
