Finely executed italian devotional wall relief dating from circa the 1970s, depicting the holy family with the virgin mary, saint joseph and the christ child.
the composition is arranged with the madonna and saint joseph gently inclined toward the child, creating an intimate and harmonious family scene. Their carefully modeled expressions and gestures communicate tenderness, protection and spiritual devotion.
the figures are executed in pronounced bas-relief and enriched by a 925 silver-plated surface combining highly polished, satin-finished and textured passages. Selectively gilded details accentuate the hair, halos and ornamental elements, while subtle colored accents appear on the virgin’s veil.
the background is decorated with engraved radiating halos and a small dove symbolizing the holy spirit, adding depth and theological meaning to the composition.
the work bears the mark “creazione d’arte fiorentina”, identifying it as a florentine artistic production associated with the italian tradition of religious silverwork and decorative arts.
the relief is mounted on a rigid support and presented in its original molded giltwood frame, designed as an integral part of the composition.
this type of sacred wall artwork was particularly appreciated in italy during the 1970s and was often commissioned or purchased as a prestigious wedding, anniversary or family gift.
never used or displayed, the piece has remained preserved in its original packaging and retains an exceptional unused vintage appearance.
