Elegant Dutch Empire armchair crafted in solid cherrywood, featuring a distinctive lyre-shaped back splat and gracefully curved armrests. The clean lines and restrained decoration are characteristic of the Empire period and the transition towards the Biedermeier style.
The chair has been reupholstered in a striped fabric that complements the warm cherrywood frame. Over the years the frame has developed a rich patina with visible signs of age and use, adding to its authentic character. The underside shows later structural reinforcements, ensuring the chair remains sturdy and suitable for everyday use.
