Manufactured in Japan circa 1906–1911 by the Morimura Brothers (the precursor to Noritake), this vessel features the coveted green stamped "Hand Painted Nippon" manufacturer's backmark on its base.

The body displays an exquisite, hand-painted central vignette of a blooming coral-orange poppy flower framed by rich, deep green foliage.
