Fear was born from the residue of a dream, one so heavy it shaped the day before I even touched a brush. At the time, I was working out of a storage space, without a proper studio, carrying frustration and uncertainty into the room with me. Fear takes many forms: fear of failure, fear of loss, fear of death, fear of truth, even fear of oneself. In painting, fear appears as hesitation, the doubt before the next stroke, the uncertainty of what comes next. This work is not about comfort. It is about confrontation. Instead of allowing fear to lead to procrastination, I chose to face it. Every brushstroke became an act of defiance. The act of finishing the painting became the victory. Fear is both the battle and the proof of courage.
