An exceptionally tall, carved-wood decoy swan stands at a commanding 27 inches, making a wondrous sculptural statement. Imported from Asia, the decoy adds a unique touch of rustic Americana elegance to your home decor. Crafted in the 1970s, the beautifully elegant sculpture with a contoured, elongated neck challenges any work for realism. Its distressed finish and striking silhouette possess a singularly updated presence that effortlessly anchors its artistic volume into large spaces. This perfectly designed, versatile sculpture, featuring elemental agility, suits a crackling brick fireplace, a sunlit garden window framed by lush greenery, or an elegant covered patio room near a pool. Blending seamlessly as a modern farmhouse classic country, or for an organic modern aesthetic hand-built home, a Whole Earth sanctuary, it maintains an impressive latitude of 6.4 lb, a glowing, rich, pleasant warmth, offering daily inspiration to visual nature and an inviting, curated feel to any indoor or outdoor living space.
An exceptional decoy that adds balance and charm with its artisanal folk-art look and thoughtful, precise production of mid-to-late 20th-century pieces, meticulously manufactured in Asia as a premium import for high-end Western decor houses. Created in the 1970s, during the peak of the Americana revival, the sculpture was crafted from a soft, light-grained tropical wood like albesia or rubberwood, allowing craftsmen to rapidly build its 6.4 lb grand scale without sacrificing the elegance and mastery of their art. Its elongated proportions, sweeping neck, smooth bodyline, and hand-wrought shape, and deliberately added factory-distressed details—faux wormholes and a layered dark antiquing wax to garner credibility from admirers—an artwork engineered to simulate decades of weathered wear.
