This painting alludes to the song "Purple Rain" by Prince. Working in the style of Abstract Expressionism, the artist chose a violet color palette inspired by listening to the track simultaneously. The painting was created using acrylics, working in multiple layers, resulting in a beautiful sense of depth. The painting is unframed but ready to hang. The edges show traces of the painting process. It is signed on the front and on the back.
