Cut from the border region of a vintage hand-knotted Anatolian rug, this square cover preserves the asymmetry of its source: an electric blue field on the left carries angular geometric symbols and a T-hook form, a narrow vertical band of repeating stylized tulip motifs runs down the center, and a deep navy ground on the right holds large freeform shapes, a six-pointed star, and X marks. No two sides match — and that is precisely what makes it interesting. Works well in Boho Chic, Turkish, and Folk Art interiors.
Size: 16 x 16 inches / 40 x 40 cm. Cover only, insert not included.
Cut and hand-sewn from the border section of a vintage hand-knotted wool pile rug. All geometric symbols and motifs are formed directly in the wool pile through the hand-knotting process. Not printed; the pattern is woven directly into the fabric structure. The visible transition between the two ground colors reflects the original rug's border construction.
