This is a stunning piece of English creamware featuring a large serving bowl with lid and 14” matching underplate. The pierced design is exquisite and is carried throughout the entire bowl matching lid except of course the bottom portion of the bowl. The bowl itself has a scalloped edge, twisted rope handle with leaves at the ends. The lid features an acorn finial with a more involved design. The underplate carries the design around as a border with a solid center. This piece displays beautifully in a china cabinet, as a centerpiece or as a base for an exquisite floral design.
