The vessel features a captivating abstract design created using the legendary Graal technique—a sophisticated method pioneered and perfected by Orrefors in the early 20th century. In this complex process, an intricate design is meticulously carved, engraved, or etched onto an inner layer of colored glass. The piece is then carefully reheated, cased in a thick, heavy layer of brilliant transparent crystal, and blown and tooled into its final, elegant footed shape. The result is a breathtaking three-dimensional effect, where the rich, abstract pattern appears to float weightlessly within the solid glass.
