The set is hand painted in lively colors with an intricate design on an earthenware base. There is gold detailing on the rim and in the overall design. On one side of the cup is written: "Take ye a cuppe o'kindness For auld Lang syne". The cup is marked,":Burslem England" The saucer is marked with a crowned lion and the words, "Royal Staffordshire Pottery, Burslem England. The saucer measures 8.5" in diameter and 1.5" high.
