The restrained silhouette allows the exceptional mahogany to take center stage, where more than a century of age has produced a remarkably rich surface.

The finish shifts from deep oxblood and wine tones to dark espresso and warm garnet undertones depending on the light. Subtle grain movement, gentle oxidation, and a beautifully mellow patina create depth across each drawer front, while the original brass bail pulls and pierced escutcheons provide an elegant contrast against the richly aged wood. Fully paneled sides and a wide plank back further reflect the quality of its late nineteenth-century construction, showcasing the thoughtful craftsmanship that has preserved the piece for generations.
